Tania Harris

– Tania trained as a Registered General Nurse at The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, qualifying in 1989 from the Exeter School of Nursing. She then specialized in Orthopaedic nursing, qualifying as a registered Orthopaedic nurse in 1991 at The Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Hospital.
Tania worked there until 1994 when she joined The West of England School for Children With Little or No Sight, working in the medical centre for eleven years, she gained experience caring for children with visual impairment, very special needs and epilepsy.

Tania left the school in 2005 to join the medical team at St Loyes Foundation where she worked with adults retraining for employment with a wide variety of disabilities/special needs.

Tania joined Barnfield Hill in 2008 as a Practice Nurse and carries out all areas of nursing care including dressings, phlebotomy, childhood immunisation, travel advice and smoking cessation.

She has a special interest in respiratory conditions and is responsible for the care of those patients with asthma and COPD. This includes the annual review, spirometry, teaching correct inhaler technique and general support and advice.
